Where can I dock my boat on Fire Island?
Private marinas on Fire Island include those at Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines, (which have seasonal and limited transient slips) and several commercial establishments that provide a place to dock on a short-term basis.
Can you anchor at Sailors Haven?
You can dock at the marina for a small fee or, since slips are hard to get on the weekends, you can anchor out like I do. Keep an eye on water depth because the bottom comes up quickly. I always sail into about 3 feet of water then jump overboard and walk the boat to my favorite spot.
